We don’t collect any personal information about you via our website unless you choose to interact with us by sending us an email – for example, if you’d like to join the club or find out more about a workshop.

• Any information, like your IP address, browser of choice, or operating system, is anonymised and only used for normal website analytics.

• Our website may also use “cookies” to track how you use the website (so we know which content is popular). A cookie is standard software that a web server can store on your computer, containing information that can be used to identify you should you visit our website again.

• You can say ‘no’ to cookies. Most web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies.

 

Emails:

 

If you contact us or reply to us via email, we will use your email address and name to respond. These details may be retained in our email software as part of our club records.

 

Membership forms:

 

We collect your name, email and physical address, and phone number as part of your application to join the club. We may also request your bank account number if you are participating in an AGN exhibition and are due to receive a payment from us.

• We do NOT retain old data. If your membership lapses, we will remove your data from our membership records within 6 months of non-payment of your subscription fees. If you choose to rejoin, you will need to provide all information again.

• We do not share or sell your information to any third party or share it with other members.

• Your membership information is stored in a secure place only accessible by those on the committee who need to contact you for club business. For example, sending you e-newsletters or club notices, reminders about subscriptions, notifications of upcoming club exhibitions and entry forms, delivery of special gifts or cards, etc.

• The only time we will ever disclose your personal information without notice is if we are required to do so by law.

 

Checking out your info

 

You can ask us what personal information we have about you. We’re happy to provide it.

You can also ask us to correct personal information that’s inaccurate or out of date. Just email us at artgroupnelson@gmail.com and use the word PRIVACY in the email subject line.
