About the event
Oil painting workshop, focusing on tonal values in landscapes with Erik Peterson.
Erik is a very talented and passionate artist and has been painting full time. Originally from the UK, he now lives in the West Coast. He is very happy to travel to Nelson to share his skills with us. I especially like the fact that he uses a palette of five colours for all his paintings and he often displays figures within the landscapes. His brushstrokes can be seen throughout the painting whilst showing an understanding of form.
Please bring with you:
Two painting supports, around A4 size (canvas, panel etc.).
Two brushes, preferably Filberts size 8-12
Oil paints, red, yellow, blue, brown and white
