Spring Exhibition 2025

A big congratulations to everyone who participated in the Spring Exhibition 2025! And thank you to everyone who contributed - from planning through to set-up and pack-down and everything in between - the committee appreciated all the extra help.

A special thank you also goes to the many visitors who came along to support our artists—your presence is what brings the exhibition to life!

Opening night was a fantastic success and we were honoured to have Mayor Nick Smith and MP Rachel Boyack in attendance.

We were lucky to have Jane Smith from Chocolate Dog Studios as our guest judge this year. She had the challenging task of selecting our winners. We were grateful for her time, expertise, and thoughtful consideration – not an easy job!

We are pleased to announce the overall Winner of this year’s event was William Leibisch, with Virginia Watson and Sarah Lewis gaining Merit awards. Honourable mentions went to Judith Gerritson and Jean Reynolds. Congratulations to all – very well deserved!

Saturday proved to be the busiest day with a great turnout and lots of sales. Visitors had plenty of positive feedback, praising both the high quality and the diversity of artwork on display.

We were lucky to have photographer Vaughan Scott who generously donated his time and talent over the weekend. His photos from the event will soon be available to view on the website – stay tuned!

We’d also like to acknowledge Karen Scott and Gareth Cashin from Putangitangi Greenmeadows—their assistance went above and beyond – and it was a privilege to be invited to be part of An Adventure in Art.

All in all—what a weekend! Thank you once again to everyone who helped make this year’s exhibition such a success.
